St. James the Apostle Episcopal Church is rooted in an ancient faith, that has existed for centuries and encompasses millions of fellow believers around the world. Our liturgy and legacy stem from a deep well of tradition and sacredness that we still carry out today. Living in an Ancient-Modern mindset, keeps us present in our cultural relevance, while staying purely rooted and a mentality of ancient sacrament.
Jesus reduces all the Law and the Promises into Loving God and Loving Others. We live by a commission that was instituted by Jesus, to Love God with passion, intentionality, sacrifice and commitment, and equally to love those around us, within the church and outside the church. The scriptures speak much of love, it’s depth, complexity and power. At St. James, we want to be known as a people who love well!
As a local church, connected to the global church, we are committed to seeking justice and supporting inclusivity of all, especially those who have felt marginalized by society in any way. This world is longing for the restoration and redemption found in the Gospel of Jesus. As bearers of this gospel, we pursue restoration for our world, for our community, for our church and for our own families. We understand both the responsibility and the privilege of joining God in this great commission of seeing this world restored and redeemed through the gospel of love, grace and reconciliation.
